August 1994 Colour Haze was formed with Stefan Koglek (git., voc.), Tim Höfer (dr.) and Christian Wiesner (b.) and did a kind of artificial Doom-Psycore. Tim and Stefan played together since 1989 in the Krautwave and later on Jazzcore-formation Surface Tension. With Christian, Stefan played together at Organized Noise, the local Goth-(Punk)Rock heroes then.

In January 95 the first CD „Choppingmachine“ (1000copies made) was recorded and released in August on the small Munich Label David Records – with overwhelming critics-response, but unfortunately without an effective distribution. In the following year CH did some gigs all over Germany and recorded a few new tracks for some. VA-compilations.....

1997 was a dead year for CH –In search for better artistic development, the original line-up split up...Tim went to the Noise-Core heroes Tailgate, Stefan and Christian, together with new singer Felix Neuenhoff, checked some drummers...and made a lot of new songs, recorded some...and did a few gigs

In August 1998 Christian left the band and Manfred Merwald (dr.) (former drummer of myriads of Hardcore and Crossover and Tom Waits-Cover-Bands in Rosenheim) and Philipp Rasthofer (b.) (formerly disappointed of being in bands, didn’t play for years, until he met Stefan in 1996 – they did a lot of jam-sessions then) came in. Together with singer Felix they recorded, again with engineer Chris Void, the CD „Seven“ (50 CDR-copies made) in December...Troubles weren’t over yet and Felix, too occupied with work and soccer-fanatism, left the band suddenly in

May 1999, two weeks before a couple of gigs...Stefan, out of singing since two years, had to do the double- part again...and it worked – somewhat wiser and more relaxed Philipp, Mani and Stefan did a great number of new songs. With the LP-Demo „Periscope“, recorded, with Tim Höfer engineering, in the CH-rehearsal-place in October 1999 (100 CDR-copies made) new interest was stirred up. Mani and Philipp moved to Munich....
2000 A few months later „CO2“ was recorded. Again 100 CDR-demos were sent around and CH decided to press a series of Vinyl-LP on their own (released in July 2000). In search for some underground-distribution and interest via internet, record-stores and mailorders CH got great response and found a lot of new partners...and friends!... their show on the 2000-Burg Herzberg Hippie-Festival (biggest hippie-festival in Europe) was a breakthrough for greater public response - Live-gigs all over Germany followed... the new Stoner/Fuzz-Rock-Label Monsterzero-Records did the CD-version of CO2 (released in September 2000) – the limited 450-copies-series of the LP and the first series of cds were sold out fast...In November Colour Haze started recording their next album...

In 2001 CH played 30 concerts all over Germany, Belgium (e.g. Agimont-Stoner-Festival, Burg Herzberg Open Air...) – and found a lot of fans, some are driving hundreds of kilometers to see them -... The new album „Ewige Blumenkraft“ was released on MonsterZeroRecords in a limited 1000-copies High-Quality-Vinyl-DLP series in July. The CD-version followed in November. Stefan and Tim have been working on a remixed-version of the 99-album „Periscope“. And more new songs are ready to be recorded..... CH-records are already distributed in the BeNeLux- Countries, England, France, Italy, Germany (of course), Spain, the USA, Canada, Australia, and in Japan. They are said to be Germany‘s finest Stonerrock band and one of the most outstanding in Europe.....

2002 CH are very busy, recording a lot of new songs for their upcoming masterpiece “Los Sounds De Krauts”, re-releasing older cds, compilation-tracks.., a Live-Video..., and foremost lots of concerts have been played in Germany, Austria, Belgium and Holland... Open Airs in the summer (a.o. Wutzrock Hamburg, Stoned From The Underground in Erfurt) and a Germany-Tour with Gas Giant in October...

2003 To improve the bands activities Stefan Koglek founded his own label “Elektrohasch Schallplatten”. Already with the labels first release “Los Sounds De Krauts” CH started to hit the big time. The exceptional double-album was acclaimed with enthusiasm of critics and music-lovers alike and quoted as “2003s record of the year” in a lot of internet discussion and fan forums already at it’s release date ...with 100s of fans waiting outside the Chez Heinz to see their very late SwampRoomHappening-show at 4:45 am and 2h later stumbling out of the club into the sunlight with happy smiling faces, lucky to have attended an outstanding psychedelic Rock experience, you know this band is up for something special....
